In local sports news, the Richmond Kickers are hosting a Fundraiser Night for RCRD on August 5, as they take on Forward Madison at City Stadium. The league will receive $5 for every ticket sold, so buy your tickets here and support your favorite RVA sports teams! Gates open at 5:45pm, with kick-off at 7:00pm; plus Happy Hour and multiple food trucks, what's not to love?!

RCRD & VCTF Trail Skating Clinic at Four Mile Creek

RCRD teamed up with the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation to host a Trail Skating Clinic in June, and we had so much fun meeting new people and helping folks tackle the trail with confidence!

League skaters AdrenaLyn and Patience Zero led the group of about 15 participants, and we covered important skills such as how to stop, fall, go up/down hills, and how to confidently roll over obstacles (like rumble strips & bridges). After practicing the basics like posture, stride, and how to bail into the grass, Lyn and Patience led a sunny group trail skate and everyone put their new skate skills to the test.
